Her Interview

Ten minutes with Tina

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to writing, which began in 1998 as a way to process grief after losing my uncle to leukemia. Over the years, writing has remained an important outlet that helped me navigate personal challenges, caregiving responsibilities, and mental health struggles while finding strength and purpose through difficult experiences. It started out as a coping mechanism to better cope with life on life's terms.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

If you ever feel unable to speak openly to anyone without being criticized or judged, write your most inner deepest thoughts down on a blank piece of paper. Writing can calm your mind, ease your heart, comfort your soul, bring a sense of peace and serenity because it will always listen without any judgment, criticism and won't never tell you what you're feeling is wrong!

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Compassion for humanity and family is at the heart of my values. Through my writing, I strive to inspire, encourage, and support others as they navigate through any of life's difficult experiences we may endure!
