01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the incredible mentors and influential women who have supported and guided me throughout my career, especially in a male-dominated field. Their encouragement has helped me grow and become the professional I am today. I also live by my grandfather’s advice to build genuine connections with everyone you meet, because you never know when those relationships may become meaningful in the future.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received came from the strong women who have guided and inspired me. They taught me the importance of perseverance, continuous growth, and striving for excellence. Their mentorship shaped my leadership journey, and I strive to pay it forward by empowering others.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to approach their careers with an open mind. I started with the goal of becoming a paramedic, but that path led me to leadership opportunities and new roles that helped me grow both personally and professionally. Careers are not always a straight line—embrace the unexpected journeys, learn from every experience, and use your growth to inspire and support others.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges in emergency medical services are workforce shortages, increasing demands for care, limited resources, and the impact of burnout on first responders. At the same time, there are exciting opportunities through innovation in mobile healthcare, telemedicine, and community-based care. I believe the future of healthcare depends on investing in people, embracing new solutions, and continuing to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are trust, loyalty, and authenticity. I believe these qualities must be given before they can be received. I strive to build genuine relationships where people feel they can rely on me, and I value the same honesty and authenticity in others.
