Her Interview

Ten minutes with Tineisha

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to starting from the ground up in corporate accounting at Turner Construction, where I spent over a decade growing from an assistant to a leader overseeing teams and helping implement new payroll systems—experiences that built my confidence, skills, and leadership in the field.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received was to keep my head up and not be intimidated—especially working in the male-dominated construction industry—which taught me to stay confident, trust my abilities, and hold my ground.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the construction industry is to understand that it’s not always peaches and cream—you’ll encounter a variety of personalities, so it’s important to have the right mindset, practice patience, and learn how to balance those dynamics to succeed.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both work and personal life are being a positive influence and strong leader—especially for my family—and having the drive to help my staff grow and succeed professionally.
