Years ago, I was mentoring young women who reminded me of myself. A mentee said: "No one has ever spoken about women like me as if we belong in the future."

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Tirzah

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to curiosity, courage, and never waiting for permission to grow. I started in supply chain, learning the art of negotiation and how business really moves. Volunteering for ERP projects sparked my passion for technology and operations, leading me through planning, finance, and compliance. Each step taught me how systems, people, and data drive transformation. That path led to my current role as Director of IT, where I built the Data Governance department from the ground up—now supporting 13 global business units. My success comes from saying yes to hard problems and turning curiosity into scalable solutions that move organizations forward.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I ever received came from my professor, Dr. Tuly Badillo, who was a phenomenal influence and connection throughout my career. She taught me the importance of academic research and and rigor of getting the facts and presenting the truest information - a principle that has guided every major decision I’ve made in leadership and governance.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

The advice I give to young women entering the industry is to stay open and stay curious. You may not always be the star of the show, and that’s okay - your curiosity, willingness to learn, and readiness to volunteer for opportunities will open doors and earn you the recognition you deserve.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest opportunity in my field is to make technology simpler and more human. We’ve spent decades building powerful systems, but not enough time making them intuitive. The next era belongs to leaders who bridge that gap - turning AI, automation, and data into tools anyone can use for real impact. Consulting is also shifting from creating deliverables to delivering outcomes. Organizations don’t want frameworks; they want measurable results. That requires specialization, ethical transparency, and scalable solutions that make innovation accessible to everyone. At the core, it’s about balance - using data to drive decisions while keeping humanity at the center. I call it transformative simplicity: innovation that doesn’t intimidate - it empowers.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I value innovation, learning, and the power of technology to enhance human potential. I’m deeply passionate about building AI agents and conducting AI productivity audits to help organizations evolve intelligently. As a regularly booked keynote speaker, including my upcoming engagement at the Florida Department of Revenue Workshop in Orlando, Fl and London, UK; I take pride in sharing knowledge and inspiring others to harness AI and data for positive transformation.
