About Tish
Tish Ross of Huntsville, Arkansas, began her involvement in the rodeo queen industry in 1999 by joining her local rodeo board, where she managed sponsorships and supported the rodeo queen pageant for 16 years. She connected with Miss Rodeo USA through clinics and judging, joining their board of directors in 2019. She progressed from alumni director to pageant director and event director before transitioning to marketing director. In the construction industry, Tish started in 2018 as a swamper on pipeline projects and advanced through roles including gate guard, tool room clerk, and yard foreman. She now serves as equipment coordinator on the solar farm side, managing equipment orders, tracking, repairs, and logistics for projects that can involve as many as 600 pieces of heavy equipment. Tish emphasizes values of trust, loyalty, and integrity in her work, demonstrating a strong work ethic by example and focusing on fairness and consistency with her teams.

01What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is hiring people that want to work and have a good work ethic. People lack loyalty to the company. I show by example, like taking a long drive myself when a younger driver didn't want to.
02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Trust, loyalty, and integrity. You're only as good as your word. If you say you're gonna do something, you do it.
