Ten minutes with Tisha
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the incredible support system of women leaders and mentors throughout my career who recognized my potential, invested in my growth, and opened doors to new opportunities. Their encouragement, guidance, and belief in my abilities have shaped both my professional journey and personal development. The women who supported and challenged me helped me become a stronger, more capable professional and inspired me to continue learning, growing, and creating opportunities for others.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is to never burn a bridge. I believe in leaving every organization and professional relationship on a positive note by doing the right thing, maintaining integrity, and treating people with respect. The way we handle ourselves throughout our careers leaves a lasting impression, and building strong, genuine relationships is essential for long-term success. I strive to approach every opportunity with professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to doing what is right. I believe that stewardship in any job means you leave the rolls, business and relationships better than you found it.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering my industry is to approach every opportunity with a mindset of curiosity and continuous learning. Be willing to learn from others, ask questions, and embrace new challenges while leaving your ego at the door. There is room for everyone to succeed, and professional growth is not about competing against one another but about supporting and empowering each other. When we share knowledge, collaborate, and lift each other up, we create an environment where everyone can thrive.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field right now is the rapid growth of artificial intelligence. As professionals, we are all learning how to effectively integrate AI into our work while navigating a significant learning curve. The opportunity lies in using AI to enhance efficiency, creativity, and decision-making, while still maintaining authenticity and the human qualities that make each of us unique. The key challenge is understanding how to leverage these tools without losing our individuality, personal connection, and the skills and experiences that set us apart. I believe the future will belong to those who can combine the power of AI with genuine human insight, creativity, and empathy.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is the most important value I carry in both my work and personal life. I believe in being honest, accountable, a wise steward of my role, and doing the right thing even when no one is watching. Integrity builds trust, strengthens relationships, and guides the way I approach challenges, decisions, and opportunities. By staying true to my values and treating others with respect, I strive to make a positive impact and create meaningful connections with the people around me.
