About Toi
Toi Porch is a public administration, municipal leadership, project management, change management, analytical problem-solving, real estate, community service, and government operations professional with long-term experience serving the City of Cleveland. She started with the city in November of 1998 as a clerk at the cemetery after graduating high school in June of 1998. She advanced to office manager, then executive assistant in park maintenance, Assistant Manager of Administration for the third largest department overseeing payroll, personnel, FMLA, and labor, Assistant Commissioner of Park Maintenance overseeing four large sections, and now serves as Commissioner of Park Maintenance. In this role she oversees cemeteries, greenhouse, over 170 parks, 12 cemeteries, over 30 cultural gardens, over 50 streetscapes, approximately 200 staff members, and the division budget. She also works as a licensed real estate agent since 2022 and runs her own consulting business, Tea Porch Consulting, helping startup and failing businesses. Her background includes on-the-job training and certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, Public Management Academy through Cleveland State, Certified PM, and a supervisory skills course. She is known for building teams from scratch, placing people where they shine, and her dedication as a public servant.
