Tomasa Aponte, MPA, is a highly experienced executive assistant and administrative leader with over 20 years of expertise supporting C-suite executives and organizational leadership. Currently serving as Executive Assistant to the CEO at Capital Access, Inc., she excels in streamlining operations, managing complex schedules, and fostering strategic relationships across all levels of the organization. Known for her efficiency, problem-solving skills, and proactive leadership support, Tomasa is a trusted partner who enables executives to focus on their priorities while ensuring that organizational operations run seamlessly.
Throughout her career, Tomasa has held key administrative roles in a variety of organizations, including the Center for Policing Equity, the City of Philadelphia, and Philadelphia International Airport. She brings a strong background in project and operations management, stakeholder engagement, data analysis, and strategic planning, consistently helping teams achieve measurable results. Her work extends beyond traditional administrative duties, emphasizing collaboration, empathy, and continuous improvement to empower both leaders and their teams.
Tomasa earned a Master of Public Administration in Government Management from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology from Saint Joseph’s University. In addition to her professional work, she holds certifications in project management and as a Certified ScrumMaster, and she actively contributes to her community through volunteer leadership, including serving as Vice Chair of the Philadelphia Admin Awards Advisory Board. Outside of work, she enjoys connecting with professionals, sharing ideas, and savoring a great cup of coffee.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to spend time on self-discovery before pursuing career goals—take time to explore the world, understand your authentic self, and gain diverse experiences before diving into education or career paths.
