Tonya Saheli, Esq. is a California-barred attorney, mediator, and arbitrator with over 13 years of experience in providing strategic legal solutions and fostering fair conflict resolution. She currently serves at SLM, LLC, where her practice encompasses Family Law, Wills and Trusts, Estate Planning, Housing Law, Special Education Law, as well as Arbitration and Mediation. Recently, Tonya expanded her practice to include litigation, further strengthening her ability to represent clients with diligence and expertise across multiple areas of law.
Before joining SLM, Tonya served as Associate Mediation Counsel at The Bar Association of San Francisco, where she mediated complex housing and special education cases. She also held the role of EHS Regulations Specialist II at Illumina, where she conducted safety audits and implemented risk management strategies across multiple sites. In addition, Tonya has provided legal and DEI consulting to professional sports organizations, including the Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Devils, and NCAA teams, demonstrating her commitment to equity, inclusion, and professional development.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Tonya is deeply committed to community engagement and leadership. As an associate at the Alameda County Bar, I strive to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, and I am proud to serve my community as a Board Director for the Boys & Girls Club of San Leandro, helping to create meaningful opportunities for youth development and growth.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are dedication, integrity, and connection. Over the past 14 years, I have prioritized building meaningful relationships whether advocating for my clients, serving on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of San Leandro, or spending quality time with my children. I also value balance and enrichment, which I cultivate through travel and attending sports events, believing that staying engaged with both family and community strengthens my ability to contribute positively in all areas of life.
