Her Story
About Tori
I've been working in my field since 2017, and my journey has been shaped by learning on the job and staying open to trying new things. I never thought I was going to be where I am right now, but you build relationships, and you learn, and you learn, and you learn. You're always willing to change what you're doing, and that's really what brought me here. When I first started in consulting at a small company, I had to A-B test everything I was doing, and it got to a point where things became second nature. I think that was the best education I could have asked for. I was brought into consulting by a coworker who went to work for Olytics and said he had this opportunity and loved the people there. I just trusted him and wanted to try something new because I didn't love the position I was in with private equity. I tried it, and I still feel like I owe everything to that person because my life has changed a thousand times over. It's just been such a wonderful journey. Sometimes you don't know what you love until you give it a try, and if it's not the right thing, then you pivot.

Ten minutes with Tori
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the people that I've surrounded myself with. I think I had the most wonderful, wonderful co-workers, particularly at Olytics, and now I have some at Argano. It's just like people that are also your friends. It's easy to get good work done because you support each other and you trust each other. I actually met my husband when I was at Olytics, and he works for Olytics as well, so it's just like working with good people that you really care about is so important. Good dynamics are just so important.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is that there's no dumb questions. Everyone is learning at the same time. Nobody knows everything, so if you need to figure something out, use your resources. You're not gonna sound stupid if you don't know how to do something, so you need to reach out, and you need to keep expanding what you know.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I think it's important for me to get out there that it's possible to still strive for career goals and care about where you stand in your own career, while also prioritizing time with your children, time with friends, and time working on your faith. All of that is very important and can be done. It just takes extra work. I think continuing to excel in a career when you become a mom is really hard, and it's a difficult thing to do, and it was definitely the hardest thing that I've had to do in my career, but continuing to excel not only as a parent, but keep going in the workforce so you're playing multiple hats at the same time.
