Her Story
About Tori
I started my career at Tech Defenders just before graduating college, where I began using HubSpot and discovered a huge passion for the tool, its ease of use, and customization capabilities. Over the past 8 years in CRM administration, I've thrived by leaning into HubSpot, continuously learning more about it, and helping develop sales tool strategies that remove friction from the sales process while providing visibility and reporting. I recently transitioned from IT into a more focused CRM role just a couple weeks ago. Today, I serve as the CRM administrator for a large quantity of sales representatives, providing training, guidance, and feedback on how to use the tool effectively. I help them find shortcuts to cut down on administrative time so they can spend more time doing outbound reach and closing deals. What I love most about my work is having the opportunity to help others maximize the potential of sales tools and learn something new each day about different AI features. I feel like each day is a different journey in my role, with pretty much every hour offering an opportunity to learn something new.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I would say I'm very optimistic, so always keeping a positive attitude, and even when the tides are changing, to just kind of continue to push forward optimistically and positively. I like to be energetic, and I feel like that tends to rub off on other people too. Maintaining that positive energy has been key to my success throughout the years.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I think find something that you really enjoy doing and have a passion for, and really lean into that. There are so many resources online and within networks, mentoring, to really sharpen your skills within that certain aspect. I know I utilize a lot of HubSpot academies to really build my CRM knowledge, so I think taking advantage of those resources is important. And then having a good mentor as well too, to kind of help lead the way or provide advice or guidance there, can make all the difference.
