Tra’Nise Lloyd is an AI Program Manager and technology consultant with expertise in evaluation, reporting, and AI-assisted workflows. She specializes in turning complex, multi-source data into actionable insights through human-in-the-loop systems, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and ethical governance in AI-assisted evaluation processes. With over a decade of experience supporting nonprofit and corporate teams, Tra’Nise combines her technical skills with a passion for community impact, mentoring, and technology education.
She transitioned into technology consulting after a long career in administrative and executive support, completing a Power BI program through Code Louisville and gaining hands-on experience in evaluation and AI governance. Tra’Nise has since supported multiple nonprofit initiatives, producing structured evaluation reports, facilitating youth technology programs, and applying AI responsibly to enhance reporting efficiency and insight synthesis.
Beyond her consulting work, Tra’Nise is committed to community empowerment, mentoring students in Jefferson County Public Schools, supporting digital literacy programs, and advocating for ethical AI adoption. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hands-on learning opportunities, guidance from mentors—especially Dr. Alicia McClain and partner organizations—a willingness to learn new tools like Power BI and AI, strong interpersonal communication skills, and resilience after career setbacks such as layoffs.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
My godfather advised me: “Go into business — you can never go wrong with business.” That guidance has shaped my approach to entrepreneurship and consulting.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Gain practical, hands-on experience, pursue accessible certifications, and learn to work responsibly with AI while maintaining ethical oversight. Representation matters—seeing women in tech encourages others to enter the field.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The technology and AI consulting field remains largely male and white-dominated, which presents a challenge. Opportunities lie in the growing demand for AI governance, ethical standards, and roles that combine evaluation with AI-assisted reporting. Accessible tools for nonprofits create additional opportunities for meaningful impact.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Ethical behavior (especially in AI), community service, storytelling and advocacy, mentorship, and family are central to both my professional and personal life.
