Her Interview
Ten minutes with Tracey
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to working with great people and clients who trust me with their finances. I am also grateful for the mentors who have guided me throughout my career and helped ensure that I am always doing what is right for my clients. Their trust, collaboration, and mentorship have played an important role in shaping the advisor I am today.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received is to always do the right thing, be transparent, and remain authentic. I believe that conducting myself with honesty and integrity builds trust and creates relationships that stand the test of time.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering the financial services industry to find someone who is already established in the field and intentionally build a relationship with that person. Having a mentor who can provide guidance, answer questions, listen to your experiences, and serve as a sounding board can make a tremendous difference as you navigate your career. I believe that learning from others and developing strong professional relationships can help you grow with greater confidence.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The financial services industry continues to face challenges and opportunities related to regulatory changes, evolving technology and tools, changing client expectations, and developments in investments. I also recognize that financial services has historically been a male-dominated field, which presents both challenges and opportunities for women. As the industry continues to evolve, there is an opportunity for advisors—particularly women—to bring new perspectives and approaches to serving clients and addressing their increasingly complex financial needs.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me are listening with empathy, maintaining a strong sense of integrity, caring for others, putting others first, and practicing patience. I believe these values are essential not only to serving clients well, but also to building meaningful and trustworthy relationships in both my professional and personal life.
