Tracey Myers, Ed.D. is a dedicated and transformational education leader serving in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. She earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University and has built a career centered on instructional excellence, student achievement, and organizational growth. Dr. Myers is known for her leadership philosophy as a “Servant | Cultivator | Catalyst,” reflecting her commitment to empowering educators, strengthening school communities, and ensuring success for all students through collaboration, strategic planning, and culturally responsive practices.
Dr. Myers began her professional journey in the business sector, working in distribution and logistics management. While developing her corporate career, she simultaneously volunteered in her local church, where she served youth and grew into a youth leadership role. That experience sparked a deep passion for working with young people and ultimately inspired her transition from corporate America into public education. She specializes in Career and Technical Education (CTE), where she taught engineering and business courses, led CTE departments, and served as both a high school business teacher and department chair, as well as a middle school CTE teacher and department lead. During this time, she also coached volleyball and basketball at the middle school level for approximately four years and founded “Sisters of Class,” a mentorship program designed to support young women academically, socially, and personally.
Her leadership journey continued as she transitioned into school administration, serving in multiple assistant principal roles and later as a principal at a freshman academy in Mississippi before returning to Texas. Currently, she serves as an Assistant Principal at Royse City High School, where she has been for six years. In this role, she provides instructional leadership with oversight of the mathematics department, actively participates in professional learning communities, and supports teacher development through coaching and best practices. She also oversees student discipline and attendance while working closely with parents, teachers, and staff to foster a positive and effective learning environment. Each day, she remains focused on strengthening instruction, supporting students, and building meaningful partnerships that drive academic and personal success.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success first and foremost to God. He has blessed me to have a mother who expects the best out of her kids, and with that type of upbringing, it has built in some internal skills that help keep me motivated and have that grit to continue to excel. I believe that when we're at our optimal, when we're our best, that means we're serving those in our sphere of influence. We're serving them, and they're getting the best as well.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say stay true to who you were created to be. Never self-doubt, and surround yourself with people who support you.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I think probably the biggest opportunity is helping adults understand that we are in the service business - customer service. If we would focus on do we serve well, I think that will help the bigger picture of our students' futures. An intentional focus on serving our students means we do whatever it takes to ensure that we're doing what's best for kids, and not just say it, but really be about it.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity, excellence, and service. Those three are my core values personally and professionally.
