About Tracey
Tracey Warr serves as a Care Coordinator for mental health at Jewish Family Services. With five years of experience in the field, including three months at her current organization, she focuses on supporting individuals diagnosed with mental health conditions and delivering community assistance. Warr earned a double bachelor's degree, with a major in criminal justice and a minor in law from ITT Technical Institute in 2008, and additional studies in paralegal and human services at Milwaukee Area Technical College. She maintains a certification in mental health, a jailer's license, and a nursing license. Warr is a member of the Paralegal Association and volunteers with food banks, H2O supporting children with mental illness through CLTS, and food pantries serving the elderly. She attributes her success to listening, humility, and the support of colleagues, and advises others to avoid overthinking, practice empathy without bias, and not sweat the small stuff.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the ladies that I've worked with in the past that covered me, just listening, and humbling yourself. Not coming in cocky.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't sweat the small stuff.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't overthink it. You have to have empathy and be sympathetic towards the people that you're serving. Don't go in being biased or judgmental.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The challenges are not working for an absolute amount of money, just maintaining. It's not all about the money. People get burnt out fast.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Be honest and truthful to what you're doing. Not trying to take advantage of people.
