Her Interview

Ten minutes with Tracie

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to leading with heart. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on creating connection, treating people with respect, and finding purpose in every task — big or small. I’ve been fortunate to work in environments that value compassion, collaboration, and community, and those values have shaped the way I support others and define success. Ultimately, any success I’ve had comes from showing up authentically and caring deeply about the people I serve.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I’ve received is to “stay curious and keep learning.” Every role, challenge, and conversation has something to teach you. Growth doesn’t come from knowing everything—it comes from being open, adaptable, and willing to ask questions.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Remember that your kindness is a strength, not a weakness. In senior living and executive support, the way you treat people often becomes your greatest leadership tool. Stay steady, stay curious, and give yourself permission to grow. You don’t need to have everything figured out at once—just show up authentically, and you’ll create a meaningful impact.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

A major challenge right now is the emotional and logistical complexity of supporting staff and residents in a field that’s always on the move. But that also creates a unique opportunity: we get to rethink how we support each other. Whether it’s improving communication, creating stronger pathways for professional development, or building a culture where people feel seen and supported, our biggest challenge is also our biggest chance to grow.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty, empathy, and respect are the foundation of how I live and work. I believe in doing what’s right, caring for people with intention, and bringing my full self to the responsibilities I take on. Those values shape every relationship and every decision.
