Her Story
About Tracy
I graduated with a public relations degree in communications and got into entertainment and hospitality - I'm like the jack of all trades, a concierge and consultant. Right out of college, I ended up getting a job working for Lil Wayne, the rap artist. He moved down here from New Orleans to Miami and opened, started the Young Money office. Me and his manager kind of started everything, and I went on the road with him for a while, traveled all over the country going from show to show with him, booking his travel, his entourage's travel, dealing with promoters. Once we found out that he was going to jail, obviously we weren't gonna have a job for a year, so somebody contacted me from the Fountain Blue. The Fountain Blue was just about getting ready to do the grand opening, and I moved over there to work in VIP services. I was there for a year, and then David Grotman wanted me to go over and be a VIP hostess at Liv's nightclub, and that's where I was for 9 years. I decided to start my own concierge company because I just started to get a lot of NFL players, athletes, and rappers asking me, can I make them dinner reservations, can I help them get into a nightclub, book a table for them. That's basically how it started to kind of where I'm at right now. I also have my real estate license and my health and life insurance license, so I help people get the best insurance that they possibly can. With the concierge company, people refer clients to other people. I work with a lot of sports agents, so they'll send me their clients asking if I can get an entertainment or sports rate at the Fountain Blue for them. I basically take care of everything - and it's not just in Miami, I do it in New York, LA (my business partner is in LA, so it helps out a lot), Vegas, just the major cities. I set up everything that they need from beginning to end and make sure it's just a flawless, lasting impression. It could be anybody from a rapper to a ballplayer to a high-profile corporate CEO. I book their hotel reservations, put amenities in the room, ask them if there are any specific dinner reservations they want me to make, if there's a nightclub they want to get a table at, if there's a specific part of the nightclub they want the table, if they're coming with their family and the kids need tours to the Everglades, Miami Sea Aquarium, Parrot Jungle - I basically take care of anything that they need from beginning to end. I've been in my field for about 27 years.

Ten minutes with Tracy
01What do you attribute your success to?
I have to actually say, probably my ex-boyfriend, to be honest with you. He was a business manager - that's how I got the job working for Wayne. He, at one point, had OutKast, Usher, Nelly, Little John, Wayne, Mase. Seeing how hard he worked, and I was still in college at the time, so just watching how hard he worked and just how, even though stuff was tough, he made it seem like it was flawless - I think that's what I attribute my success to, is just following, trying to follow in his footsteps and watching him just be super successful. I just wanted to be like him, or at least take on his values. He's a very hard worker - he would work 7 days a week, morning to night, and he put in the work so he can retire early. His name is Cortez Bryant.
02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Stay strong. Empathize and put yourself in other people's shoes. Treat people the way you'd want to be treated. That's the best that I could put it, because if people think that you don't care, then it annoys them even more, and that's when you get yelled at and screamed at. But if you could be empathetic towards them, and think, how would I want to be treated, then you're going to be successful.
