Her Story

About Tracy

I've been dancing and in the dance field since I was little. My parents had me in dance classes my whole life. I've always only wanted to open up a dance studio, and I had the opportunity to take over a fitness studio. I talked to my husband, and he was like, we'll see how it goes the first year, and then we'll just go from there. The first year, it just went crazy. I had really good instructors, and the first year, I was already teaching at the different fit expos, and we were doing classes for Fabletics. It's been four years now, and we're almost at that five-year mark. We just got a phone call from the Reader's Digest, St. Gabriel's Tribune, where somebody voted our studio to be their favorite fitness studio in the San Gabriel Valley. I was at the store with my son, and I started crying as I told my husband, oh my gosh, it's only been four years, and we got the favorite fitness studio. I put my heart and soul into this. I have about 10 other instructors at my studio who teach all different types of classes. It's a non-membership gym, which kind of works out. I teach the trampoline class, the rebounder, and a dance fitness class. We've been doing really well. I went to Azusa Pacific University for teaching, so I'm doing the opposite of what I went to school for. I was a preschool teacher for over 10 years, and then I was also teaching dance at different studios. After I got married and had my three kids, I started teaching hip-hop dance at different studios, and then I got the opportunity to take over this gym. Our community is just so strong. They always show up, no matter what, and anytime we need something, the community comes together. Everybody is very relaxed and happy. You just feel good when you come into the studio. The fitness isn't just about looking good, it's mental, too. We want everybody to be happy.
