Tricia Aldridge is a results-driven leader in digital advertising operations, currently serving as Director of News12 Digital Ad Ops at Optimum Media in the New York City Metropolitan Area. In this role, she leads the monetization strategy for News12’s digital properties and OTT streaming platform, News 12 New York, with a focus on driving revenue growth, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring seamless campaign execution. She manages a team of ad operations professionals while overseeing strategic partnerships with SSPs and key vendors, and has recently led initiatives to automate inventory backfilling—resulting in meaningful revenue gains.

Tricia’s career journey reflects continuous growth and transformation. She began her professional path in finance before making a pivotal transition into ad tech and media in 2017 through MediaMath’s highly competitive Marketing Engineer Program. That immersive experience provided a strong technical and strategic foundation and sparked her passion for programmatic advertising. She went on to build her expertise at Townsquare Media, where she spent over two years in progressively responsible roles focused on programmatic media buying for hyper-local and regional clients. Seeking broader exposure, she joined Amnet Programmatic Experts for Dentsu Aegis Network as a Senior Manager, where she supported large-scale initiatives for The Home Depot account, further deepening her industry knowledge.

Over the past six and a half years at Optimum Media, Tricia has advanced through multiple leadership roles across programmatic and media buying, including Director of Programmatic Strategy, where she oversaw and optimized more than $40 million in annual spend across B2C, B2B, and mobile channels. Known for her analytical mindset, strategic thinking, and ability to lead high-performing teams, she consistently delivers data-driven solutions that align business goals with market opportunities. Tricia holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Connecticut School of Business and brings a global perspective to her work, complemented by her working knowledge of Spanish and Italian.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to staying eager and hungry to learn. When I did the program that allowed me to pivot into this industry, I was very eager and hungry to get new information and to learn. I never want to be stagnant - I want to make sure that I'm learning and growing. I'm always actively looking for ways to be proactive and really take a step back to ask how we can do things more efficiently, whether it's a workflow or any other process. I'm very big on efficiency and driving growth. I always tell my team that just because something has been done one way, that does not mean it's the best way. I think people say that, but they don't always change it, so I'm constantly looking for more efficient ways to work and improve. I've learned a lot about juggling and priorities, especially over the past five years, and I believe that staying adaptable and willing to take initiative has played a major role in my professional growth.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

One of the most valuable pieces of career advice I’ve received came from my mentor, Jim Hoffman, who has played a significant role in shaping my professional growth. He emphasized the importance of staying intentional about my development—seeking out opportunities to learn, being open to feedback, and consistently challenging myself to grow beyond my comfort zone. His guidance reinforced that success is not just about technical skills, but also about building strong relationships, maintaining integrity, and approaching each opportunity with purpose and accountability.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell young women to stay hungry and eager to learn. Don't be on the sidelines - jump in there. I always tell people that just because something has been done one way, that does not mean it's the best way. I think that's something people say, but they don't always change it, so I encourage women to be proactive and really take a step back and ask how we can do this more efficiently, whether it's a workflow or any other process. I'm very big on efficiency and driving growth. In the tech industry, it's very male-heavy, and I'm often in meetings with all men. There are some great mentors, but I think it's very important for women to learn from other women as well as contribute. So my advice is to stay hungry, be eager to learn, be proactive, and don't be afraid to challenge the status quo and look for better ways to do things.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I think the challenge right now is that it's just a challenging workplace for a lot of people. The consolidation aspect in the media industry, as well as tech and other fields, is daunting and kind of scary to a lot of people, myself included. But I also think there is opportunity in this. It opens up new partnerships and new collaborations with other companies and vendors. There's always room for people to kind of benefit from each other and contribute to a larger goal, so I see it as both a challenge and an opportunity at the same time.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

In my work, I value continuous learning and growth above all. I never want to be stagnant - I'm always looking to learn and grow. I believe strongly in being proactive, taking initiative, and constantly looking for ways to improve efficiency and drive growth. I'm very focused on not just accepting the status quo but actively seeking better ways to do things. Personally, family is incredibly important to me. I have two young children, ages 2 and almost 5, and they keep me pretty busy. We love to be outside playing and doing sports together. I've learned a lot about juggling and priorities over the past five years. I value staying active and healthy - I've always been very into sports, and one of my personal goals is to get into a more concrete exercise routine. It's just a matter of carving out the right time for that while balancing the demands of career and motherhood. I'm in that season of busyness with the kids, doing whatever they want to do, taking little trips with them, and making sure I'm present for my family while also pursuing professional growth.
