Her Story
About Tricia
As the Director of Marketing at Four Inc., I lead a talented team of five in driving high-impact distribution strategies and providing exceptional marketing value to our OEM partners. With a decade of experience in marketing, I specialize in translating complex technical concepts into human-centric communication through thought-leadership blogs, press releases, and emails.
My career began with seven years as a Network Administrator, giving me a unique technical foundation that I now leverage to bridge the gap between IT and marketing. I am passionate about fostering a collaborative, 'people-first' culture where my team can thrive both professionally and personally.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Tricia
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my professional growth to a combination of strong mentorship and a naturally proactive work ethic. I’ve always believed that staying engaged and driven is the key to meaningful results. At Four Inc., I’ve been fortunate to work closely with my mentor and VP of Marketing. We share a truly symbiotic partnership; while she brings the outward energy and serves as the face of our initiatives, I thrive in the strategic, behind-the-scenes execution that brings our collective vision to life.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Persistence is key, but so is perspective. I’ve always believed in doing my best while taking life one day at a time. It’s easy to get caught up in the grind, but the truth is that the prize at the top of the corporate ladder is usually just a bigger pile of work. Make sure your family and friends remain your top priority. And if you’re looking for a marketing career with staying power, head toward IT; every tech company on the planet needs someone who knows how to make their products stand out.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Selling to the federal government right now is a moving target. With all the new regulations and memos hitting the desk, both the buying and selling sides are feeling the pressure. Procurement is getting tougher, and pricing is a bit of a puzzle, making the current IT market a challenge to navigate. But on the flip side, the opportunities are huge. If you’re a marketer, I always say: Come to the IT field. Every company has a product that needs a voice. Some are getting it right, but most could use a lot more help making their hardware or software actually resonate with the agencies that need it.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is the cornerstone of my leadership. I’m a firm believer that being a trusted partner starts with accountability: saying what you’ll do, following through, and truly meaning it. Whether I’m working with my team or our OEM partners, maintaining that level of trust is what matters most to me.
