Her Interview
Ten minutes with Trina
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to maintaining diligence. I follow a tracking system that I created for myself when I started there as the housing specialist. It's color-coded, it gives me my deadlines. It's nothing better than reading my emails, checking my voicemail, and then opening up my spreadsheet to see who was being prioritized today. Staying on course, being diligent, and making sure that I follow all my deadlines.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The challenges I face are making sure that our participants stay housed and making sure that our department stays within policy. My main concern is our participants. We cannot help a participant if they're not communicating with us and we have certain documentation and verification that we need in order to finalize and process the recertifications and the interims.
