Her Interview

Ten minutes with Trinita

01What do you attribute your success to?

Some of the employees themselves, the interpersonal skills that you develop with people, the relationships. Interacting within the employee relations part of it, and getting to know people, it makes it all worthwhile.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

I've always been told it's not what I say, it's how I say it. So, I'm always conscious of when I say stuff because I don't want to offend anybody, so I have to be aware of my communication.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Patience. Be true to yourself, and don't get mixed up in the drama. Just stay focused. You gotta have a standard. You gotta keep your standard at all times.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is employee retention because people don't have the drive to stay anymore if they're not given what they want. The biggest opportunity is to learn each area of HR including payroll, benefits, and recruiting so you can branch off and specialize.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Communication is very important to me. And flexibility is important. And just valuing the employee, no matter who it is, just having that value for somebody, making them feel right.
