About Triniti

Triniti Charles Doziér, MS, LAT, ATC, is an accomplished athletic trainer dedicated to advancing the health, safety, and performance of collegiate student-athletes. She currently serves as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for the men's and women's cross-country and track & field programs at Rice University, where she provides comprehensive sports medicine services, including injury prevention, orthopedic evaluation, rehabilitation, recovery management, and emergency care. Holding a Master of Science in Athletic Training from Sterling College, along with certifications in Dry Needling, CPR/AED, and Stop the Bleed, she is recognized for delivering high-quality, evidence-based care while fostering an environment of trust and support for the athletes she serves.

A former basketball player at Westside High School in Houston, Texas, Triniti earned an athletic scholarship to Sterling College, where she competed for three seasons before transitioning into athletic training. Her professional development was shaped by invaluable mentorship and hands-on clinical experiences with respected sports medicine professionals, including internships at Texas A&M University and the Minnesota Twins organization. These opportunities strengthened her expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation, injury management, and athlete-centered care, preparing her for a successful career in collegiate athletics. Beyond her clinical work, she has demonstrated a commitment to leadership through community service, participation on Sterling College's Diversity Leadership Committee, and active membership in the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA).

Driven by a passion for holistic athlete wellness, Triniti believes athletic training extends far beyond treating injuries—it is about building meaningful relationships that empower student-athletes physically, mentally, and emotionally. She is committed to being a trusted first line of defense for athlete health while serving as a positive role model and advocate for diversity within the sports medicine profession. Looking ahead, Triniti aspires to establish her own sports medicine practice, where she can continue expanding access to exceptional athletic healthcare and inspire the next generation of athletic trainers through mentorship, leadership, and compassionate service.

Ten minutes with Triniti

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to God, my family, and the strong support of my Athletic Training Program. I am especially grateful to my mentors—Carla Gilson, Amanda Beadle, and Deanna Doheny—for their guidance and encouragement. Receiving scholarships for basketball and the Women and Sports Leadership Group, serving as President of my church's Young Adult Ministry, and the unwavering support of my patient and encouraging husband have all played an important role in my journey.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

To always be true to yourself. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone so you can allow yourself to grow. Always keep your goal in front of you and the reason you are working for it.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Take time to focus on Athletic training first and everything will fall into place. Always know where you really want to go, what you want to accomplish and find great mentors. Hone those skills and network.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is staying focused on my long-term goals while managing the daily demands of the profession. I remind myself every day why I chose this career, and that sense of purpose keeps me motivated, resilient, and committed to making a positive impact.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide both my work and personal life are loyalty, respect, and creating an environment free of judgment where everyone feels valued and supported. My faith is my North Star, providing direction and purpose, while my family remains my greatest source of strength and inspiration.
