About Trinity
Trinity Huus serves as an Executive Assistant with six years of experience in the field. Her expertise encompasses scheduling, travel logistics, event planning for fundraising and office events, and acting as the primary gatekeeper for a CEO by managing communications and meetings across teams. Huus began her career as a teacher for three years before transitioning to the EA profession during the COVID period, a move she credits to her natural skills in organization, communication, and caring for others' needs. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Family Consumer Sciences from Texas State and subsequently completed a three-year Montessori Educator Degree and Certification, training that has shaped her approach to working with individuals. Huus has progressed from supporting a single venture capitalist to handling responsibilities for four executives at a national firm, a growth trajectory she attributes to her willingness to explore opportunities and step outside her comfort zone in her twenties. She values working with compassionate leaders who demonstrate a strong moral compass and prioritizes supporting CASA through volunteering. Huus advises young professionals to embrace discomfort, avoid settling early in their careers, and view challenges as opportunities for growth and problem-solving.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Trinity
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to being young and in my 20s, figuring out how to achieve the life that I wanted my daughter and I to have, constantly putting myself out of my comfort zone. Motherhood and being an ambitious, independent woman motivates me to want a certain life for my daughter and I.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice is to never give up, go after what you're wanting, continue having tunnel vision, explore different avenues, don't look at something as a challenge but as an opportunity for growth, it's all problem solving.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Being uncomfortable is a good thing. Don't get settled into your first job out of college. Work super hard, learn so many things, and if it's not exactly what you want, don't be afraid to try different avenues. Your 20s are for exploring, and your 30s you're a well-versed professional.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Keeping up with AI and constantly learning new platforms as the workplace shifts. Learning how to anticipate the needs of your executive is both a challenge and opportunity.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
A strong moral compass. Working for people that are kind and treat others with compassion and respect is the number one thing. Being compassionate human beings who ensure others are taken care of.
