What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a lot of hard work. It's just been a lot of hard work, always pushing myself, probably harder than I probably should, and being harder on myself. But doing that, and always having the support of my supervisors and my coworkers has always been important to me. I guess it comes back to that importance of family. The support system around me has been crucial in helping me achieve what I have in my career.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to never give up on people.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My daughter is everything to me, and I do everything with her. We play together, we do everything together. My family, that's my big focus outside of work, is my family. I wasn't supposed to have children, but I did get pregnant. She came a month early and messed up my blood pressure quite bad. Within a 4-month period, I had a C-section, my blood pressure got messed up, and I ended up falling down the stairs a month after giving birth and breaking my back from my blood pressure. When they did the scans on my back, I got diagnosed that I had cancer, and I had treatment for that and surgery, and I had a baby. So my baby, my little girl is everything to me. The importance of family is central to everything I do, both in my work and personal life.
