Her Interview

Ten minutes with Tryphena

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would definitely say Faith. So just believing that I have something to give, so even if I try something and it doesn't seem to be working, I still know that I have something to give so I can try it another way. One way may not work, another way will work, so if you give up you never find a way that works.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would really say take the time to know yourself and to learn to love your gift. I think one thing that I see as an actor is we have the people that we look up to and sometimes looking up to a person turns into trying to copy them. I think there's a danger in that. God has given us all something unique and specific to who we are. If we take the time to learn ourselves and discover what our unique gifting is we don't have to copy anyone else. Don't copy just take your time to discover who you are and be you.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Curiosity is really important to me. Faith is really important to me. Communication honesty is really important to me. An adventure.
