Tuesday Perkins is a Commercial Relationship Manager at Ledyard Bank, bringing nearly two decades of federal government experience and a deep passion for supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs. With 19 years of public service—including 15 years at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services—Tuesday built her career on a foundation of integrity, dedication, and community impact. Most recently, during her time with the U.S. Small Business Administration, she discovered a true calling in helping small business owners navigate funding opportunities, launch ventures, and grow sustainably.
Tuesday holds two Master’s degrees in Leadership and Human Resources from Franklin Pierce University, which she earned while working full-time—an achievement that speaks volumes about her work ethic and determination. Now thriving in the private sector, she uses her relationship-building skills and government insights to serve businesses across Concord and the Lakes Region. Outside of work, Tuesday enjoys traveling and exploring new places with her husband, and is a proud mother of two adult daughters. What do you attribute your success to?
I am driven by a deep desire to contribute meaningfully and make a positive impact in the lives of others. Whether through small gestures or larger initiatives, I believe that even a modest role can lead to significant outcomes. My motivation stems from a genuine commitment to helping and a passion for creating lasting value in both personal and professional settings.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Never stop learning and trying to do better. It's always about mind over matter. Even if you fail a time or two, pick yourself up and move forward, by looking backwards.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I believe in perseverance and the power of vision. If you can imagine a goal, you have the ability to achieve it. Success is built on determination, resilience, and the unwavering belief that every step forward brings you closer to the top.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Current Challenges: One of the primary challenges in the commercial lending space is the abundance of lending institutions available to businesses. This creates a highly competitive environment, making it essential to differentiate through personalized service, strategic guidance, and relationship-driven support. Emerging Opportunities: The field continues to present exciting opportunities, particularly with the steady emergence of new businesses and the frequent occurrence of mergers and acquisitions. These dynamics offer avenues for tailored financial solutions and long-term partnership development.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I believe in treating others with the same respect and integrity I would expect for myself. I am committed to offering clients only those solutions I would personally accept under similar circumstances. Upholding strong ethical and moral standards is a guiding principle in both my professional and personal life.
