Ten minutes with Tulsi
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the unwavering support and encouragement of my husband, who has been my biggest cheerleader throughout my personal and professional journey. His belief in my abilities has given me the confidence to embrace new challenges, continue learning, and strive for excellence at every stage of my career. Combined with a strong work ethic, perseverance, and a commitment to continuous growth, his support has played a significant role in helping me achieve my goals.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is to never stop learning and to always strive to do your best. I believe that continuous learning opens new opportunities for growth, while consistently treating others with integrity, kindness, and respect creates lasting relationships and positive outcomes. I've found that when you work hard, do the right thing, and genuinely help others, that goodness has a way of coming back to you throughout your career.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the banking industry is to be prepared to work hard, remain patient, and embrace every opportunity to learn. This is a rewarding career, but it also comes with challenges, so it's important not to become discouraged by uncertainty or setbacks. Stay focused, continue building your knowledge and skills, and trust the process. If you remain resilient, adaptable, and committed to your goals, your hard work will create opportunities for long-term success.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in the banking industry today is the significant rise in fraud and financial scams, which continue to evolve in both sophistication and frequency. Protecting clients requires constant vigilance, ongoing education, and the ability to adapt quickly to emerging threats. While this presents challenges, it also creates an opportunity for banks to strengthen security, leverage new technologies, and build greater trust by helping clients recognize and prevent fraud. As banking professionals, staying informed and proactive is essential to safeguarding our customers and maintaining their confidence.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is the value I hold most important in both my professional and personal life. I believe in being true to myself, honest with others, and always acting with transparency, respect, and accountability. Building trust through ethical decisions and genuine relationships has been the foundation of my career, and I strive to lead by example by treating every client, colleague, and member of my community with fairness and authenticity.
