Her Story
About Tunisia
I've been working in CAD and design for over 20 years, and I usually contract out for my positions. Right now I'm in aerospace, and this position will be almost a year next month. Before this role in aerospace, I was working with Swagelok on fittings and settings. Before that, I was at a kitchen place designing kitchen cabinets for places like Pizza Hut, Texas Roadhouse, and others. I've also designed conveyor belts and automation systems out in Mayfield, and before that I was designing farm equipment out in Kansas and Iowa. My first role was designing die-forming for automotive parts, so I was making the parts and designing the tools. I've worked across aerospace, mechanical, automotive, architectural, and kitchen design, doing CAD work and SOLIDWORKS through all of these industries. My main area of expertise today is mechanical design, but honestly, I love it all. Day to day, I touch base with customer service and engineering to make sure BOMs are correct, dimensions are correct, and prints are good for production.
