About Tyshia
Tyshia Purcell brings nearly two decades of experience in healthcare to her role as a manager and supervisor. Having started her career in 2005, she leads a team of 22 employees while providing hands-on support in areas such as medication administration and daily living assistance. A certified dental assistant who attended dental school, Tyshia also focuses on enhancing quality of life through specialized programs and ensures dignity and safety for those in her care. She contributes to her community through Meals on Wheels and by mentoring staff and others around her. Tyshia credits her achievements to her determination, experience on both sides of leadership, and commitment to continuous growth and exploring new opportunities.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to being determined and having leadership experience on both sides. I have a medical passion and am willing to keep growing and improving my life and career. I've learned to explore new opportunities and turn ideas into something real.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Start anywhere and keep learning and continue to grow. Live your life. We as women have the ability to lead as long as we continue to grow, have strength and capacity, take responsibilities, and make sure we always have respect for others and do unto others as you want them to do unto you.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest opportunity is moving up the ladder and being able to impact another's lives.
