Usha Amita Lakra

I started my career in operations and tech in 2018 in India, where I worked for about 6 to 7 years before coming to America as an international student. I come from a particular tribe in my country where very few people have the opportunity to study abroad and pursue their careers internationally, which makes me really proud of my journey. Throughout my early career, I was blessed to find opportunities that allowed me to navigate and grow professionally over the past 7 years. Through hard work and determination, I was able to make it to America to pursue my graduate studies. I'm currently doing my MBA at New York Tech in Manhattan while working as an intern at a startup in Brooklyn, where I work in the CEO's office. The startup is in the luxury leather bag industry, and as an intern, I'm involved in work across all departments. Last summer, I participated in a hackathon organized by Antler, a seed funding company, where I built a prototype in the tech industry, presented my idea, and received recognition for my work.
