About Valerie
Valerie Jopek is an early childhood education professional based in Webster, New York, with extensive experience supporting and educating young children. She currently serves as a Lead Preschool Teacher at Care-a-lot, a position she has held since August 2025. Previously, Valerie spent more than two years as a Lead Teacher at Kiddie Academy and began her career in early education as a Teaching Assistant at Childtime Learning Centers.
Valerie’s passion for working with children began early in life and has continued to shape her professional journey. She finds fulfillment in helping children become excited about learning and takes a proactive approach to supporting their development. Her experience has allowed her to make a meaningful impact on individual students, including helping children overcome communication challenges and become more comfortable engaging with others. She also has volunteer experience through her parents’ church, further reflecting her commitment to serving and supporting her community.
Alongside her professional work, Valerie is pursuing continued education to expand her impact in pediatric care. She earned an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Monroe Community College and is preparing to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy at Nazareth University, with an interest in pediatrics. She views occupational therapy as a natural extension of her work in early education and her desire to help children develop essential life skills. Valerie also continues to develop her Spanish language abilities and is committed to lifelong learning and professional growth.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my lifelong passion for working with children, continuous learning, and genuine dedication to helping others grow. My experiences in early childhood education have taught me the value of patience, compassion, and meaningful connection, while inspiring me to pursue pediatric occupational therapy. I believe staying curious, embracing new opportunities, and having the courage to follow the path that feels right have been key to my personal and professional growth.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering the industry to stay curious, keep learning, and recognize that they may have perspectives and abilities that surpass our own. Our role is to support and guide them, helping them better understand the world while empowering them to grow into even better versions of themselves.
