About Vaneesah
I run Grief Relief Angels, a nonprofit helping families navigate grief especially after gun violence. My work includes supporting victims at Grady Hospital through the Ivy program, assisting with funeral planning, providing spiritual support, and facilitating grief circles. I also serve as a violence intervention specialist with Hope Hustlers mediating in high-risk neighborhoods and collaborate with CCD Worldwide.

01What do you attribute your success to?
My personal experiences of having to bury so many close people including my parents and friends drive me to help others going through grief since I didn't have that support. Leaving a legacy is important to me and I am a natural nurturer and problem solver who looks at the glass half full.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Remain focused and get in rooms around people doing the same things to find your ecosystem. Stay organized, market yourself, take courses, watch YouTube videos, and make sure to find a seat at the table once you get in a room.
