01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to living with intention and purpose, persevering through challenges, and embracing every opportunity to grow. I’ve always believed that meaningful success doesn’t happen by chance, it comes from being clear about your aspirations, taking purposeful action toward them, and remaining resilient when the journey doesn’t unfold as planned.
I didn’t have a blueprint for navigating corporate America. What I did have was a commitment to learning, a strong work ethic, and the courage to step into opportunities that stretched me beyond my comfort zone. Every experience helped shape my perspective and strengthened my resilience.
I also believe success is never achieved alone. Mentors, sponsors, colleagues, family, and friends have encouraged me, challenged me, and believed in my potential, sometimes before I fully believed in it myself. Their support has reinforced my responsibility to pay it forward by mentoring others, creating opportunities, and using my influence to help others grow.
I also attribute my success to never becoming complacent in my growth. Every academic and professional milestone has been driven by a desire to better serve others and broaden my perspective. For me, success isn’t about collecting credentials, it’s about continuously growing so I can create greater value, expand my impact, and inspire others to believe that their potential is limitless.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice that I have ever received is “Don’t keep your aspirations to yourself.” When you use your voice to communicate where you want to go, you create opportunities for mentors, sponsors, and advocates to invest in your journey. People can’t help open doors they don’t know you’re hoping to walk through.
Be willing to stretch beyond your comfort zone. Say yes to experiences that challenge you, ask questions with confidence, seek feedback with humility, and commit to being a lifelong learner. Every opportunity is shaping the leader you’re becoming.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering any industry is to be intentional about your goals, take purposeful action every day, and never be afraid to share your aspirations. One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that you don’t have to have everything figured out before taking the next step. Growth comes from moving forward, even when the path isn’t perfectly clear.
Above all, never underestimate the value of your unique perspective. Your story, your experiences, and your voice are your greatest strengths. Lead authentically, stay grounded in your values, and remember that success isn’t about fitting into someone else’s definition of leadership. It’s about becoming the best version of yourself while creating opportunities and inspiring those who will one day follow in your footsteps.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the greatest opportunities in my field is redefining what leadership looks like. As organizations navigate rapid technological change, AI, evolving regulations, and shifting workforce expectations, the most successful leaders are those who combine strategic thinking with empathy, courage, and a collaborative mindset.
Representation in leadership also brings different lived experiences, perspectives, and voices to the table where the most important decisions are made.
When people can see themselves in leadership, it expands what they believe is possible for their own futures.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide both my work and personal life are integrity, service, authenticity, continuous growth, and meaningful connection.
I believe integrity is the foundation of trust. Whether I’m making strategic decisions, leading initiatives, or supporting others, I strive to do what is right—even when it’s difficult or goes unseen.
Service is deeply personal to me. I find purpose in creating opportunities for others to grow, mentoring emerging professionals, giving back to my community, and contributing to work that has a positive impact beyond myself.
Authenticity is equally important. I’ve learned that embracing who I am; my experiences, my perspective, and my story allows me to build genuine relationships and create spaces where others feel empowered to do the same.
I also value lifelong learning. Every challenge, conversation, and new opportunity is a chance to grow. I believe humility and curiosity are essential qualities for becoming a better professional, mentor, and person.
Above all, I want my work and my life to reflect a legacy of positive impact. Success is meaningful to me not because of titles or accomplishments alone, but because of the people I’ve encouraged, the lives I’ve touched, and the difference I’ve made along the way.
