Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to perseverance, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to helping others achieve their goals. When I first joined AT&T as a frontline representative 27 years ago, I could never have imagined the incredible journey ahead — one defined by continuous growth, leadership, and the privilege of developing people along the way. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to lead diverse teams across various markets and cultures, including launching and managing call centers in Guatemala and Jamaica. These experiences reinforced my belief that great leadership begins with great coaching — empowering individuals to recognize their potential and exceed their own expectations. One of my proudest accomplishments has been leading thousands of frontline employees during my time as an executive at AT&T, where I learned that true leadership is rooted in service, not authority. I’m also deeply honored to have received the Driver Award in 2018 and the President’s Club recognition in 2013, achievements that reflect my dedication to excellence, integrity, and meaningful impact in every organization I serve.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

One of my favorite quotes is by Babe Ruth: “It’s hard to beat a person who never gives up.” That mindset has guided me throughout my career and is the advice I would share with young women entering this industry. Challenges are inevitable, but resilience and consistency are what set you apart. Believe in your abilities, stay curious, and never stop learning. There will be moments when things don’t go as planned — use those experiences as fuel to grow stronger and wiser. Surround yourself with mentors who inspire you, support other women along the way, and always remember that perseverance is often the difference between success and surrender.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges — and opportunities — in sales today lies in navigating constant economic shifts while staying deeply connected to people. I’ve learned that success in this field is persistence personified. While market conditions and business structures evolve, what truly matters is how we adapt, grow, and continue to serve our customers with empathy and consistency. I prefer not to dwell on external factors beyond our control, but rather on how we can support our customers as they navigate their own transformations. It’s during these times that our ability to listen, anticipate needs, and provide real solutions becomes most valuable. Ultimately, the vitality of the economy reminds us of the importance of resilience and personal growth. By remaining adaptable, focused, and people-centered, we not only weather challenges — we create lasting opportunities for success and meaningful impact.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me both professionally and personally are integrity, empathy, persistence, and consistency. My journey has never been solely about achieving business results — it’s also been about creating a meaningful impact on people and communities. Integrity is at the heart of everything I do. Ensuring safe and compliant practices for our clients is not just a professional responsibility but a reflection of my commitment to doing what’s right, even when no one is watching. I believe that trust, once earned, is the foundation of all lasting relationships — in business and in life. Beyond the workplace, I strive to live out my values through service. I’ve had the privilege of supporting organizations such as the Tim Tebow Foundation and participating in outreach programs through Abundant Church — experiences that remind me how leadership and compassion go hand in hand. Whether mentoring a young sales professional or spending time with my family, I aim to lead with empathy, stay persistent through challenges, and remain consistent in the way I show up for others every day.
