Vanessa Wise

Vanessa Wise, M.S. is a mission-driven Strategic Partnership Executive at Abilene Christian University, where she builds and strengthens relationships across military, government, and business sectors to expand access to higher education. Leveraging her deep understanding of both the public and private sectors, Vanessa works at the intersection of strategy and service—empowering students through innovative partnerships, financial aid guidance, and educational advocacy. Her expertise lies in helping organizations support their members in achieving their academic and professional goals.

Prior to her current role, Vanessa served in multiple leadership positions in admissions, specializing in military and veteran student support. She brings a firsthand understanding of the barriers nontraditional students face and is passionate about helping them navigate funding, admissions, and career pathways. Her dedication stems from her own military background—Vanessa is a proud U.S. Army veteran who served nearly a decade as a Senior Intelligence Analyst, where she developed advanced skills in strategy, communication, and operational problem-solving.

Vanessa holds a Master of Science in Higher Education Leadership and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Organizational Leadership. A champion of lifelong learning and servant leadership, she also volunteers with organizations supporting veterans and wildlife preservation. Whether through professional development webinars or one-on-one advising, Vanessa’s ultimate goal remains constant: to uplift others through education, empowerment, and purposeful partnerships.
