About Vanetta

She is an accomplished educator, instructional leader, and assessment specialist with over two decades of experience in K-12 and adult education. Currently serving as an ELA Instructional Coach at DeKalb Preparatory Academy, she supports teachers in strengthening literacy instruction and improving student outcomes. Her earlier career includes serving as an Assessment Specialist III at DeKalb County School District, as a Graduation Coach and English Department Chair at Henry County Schools, where she identified students in need of additional support, ensured they received resources and services to guide them toward graduation, and led her department in staff development and instructional coaching, and as an Adult Education Instructor at the School District of Hillsborough County for over twelve years. She holds a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Administration from Nova Southeastern University, where she was a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and a Bachelor's degree in History and Liberal Arts from Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge. Her career reflects a deep commitment to student success, instructional excellence, and supporting educators in creating equitable, high-quality learning environments.
