Ten minutes with Vania
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to building genuine connections with others through trust, respect, and effective communication. I make it a priority to look people in the eye, listen attentively, and give them the space to express their needs and perspectives. Through active listening and authentic engagement, I am able to understand my clients, build lasting relationships, and earn their confidence.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is to listen and always smile. I believe that being a good listener creates stronger relationships, builds trust, and helps me better understand the people I work with. A positive attitude and genuine smile can also make a lasting impression and create a welcoming, professional environment.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering my industry is to never try to be someone you are not. Authenticity is essential to building genuine relationships and earning trust, while trying to imitate others can come across as inauthentic. Be confident in who you are, embrace your unique strengths, and bring your own perspective and talents to the table. Your authenticity is one of your greatest professional assets.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge in my field right now is building genuine trust with clients so they feel comfortable being open and honest. Establishing that level of trust requires patience, active listening, authenticity, and consistent communication. When clients feel respected and understood, they are more likely to share their true needs and concerns, creating an opportunity to build stronger relationships and deliver more meaningful results.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are truth, strong principles, moral integrity, respect, and meaningful relationships. I believe in conducting myself with honesty and integrity, treating others with respect, and building genuine relationships based on trust and mutual understanding. These values guide my decisions, shape how I interact with others, and influence how I approach both my professional and personal responsibilities.
