Vasundhara Pawar

Vasundhara “Vasu” Pawar is a nonprofit entrepreneur, founder, and CEO of Step2StepUp Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering young entrepreneurs through financial support, training, mentorship, and guidance. Based in Hesperia, California, Vasu has built a career centered on entrepreneurship, leadership, and community impact. Drawing from her own experiences as a business owner across industries including footwear, ceramics, housewares, technology, apparel, and restaurant ownership, she created Step2StepUp to help the next generation overcome challenges and build sustainable businesses.

Before dedicating herself fully to nonprofit leadership, Vasu spent more than 35 years in the corporate finance and technology fields, serving as a Systems Analyst and Finance Controller for companies involved in manufacturing, distribution, engineering, and import/export. Throughout her career, she contributed to financial growth, operational improvements, and organizational stability. Earlier in her career, she was also an educator, teaching English and mathematics at respected schools in Mumbai, India, and North Carolina, USA, where she received recognition for her excellence in teaching.

Vasu holds a Master’s degree in English Language and Literature from Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University, along with bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Education. Her expertise spans nonprofit leadership, entrepreneurship development, mentoring, strategic thinking, finance, and philanthropy. Through Step2StepUp, youth empowerment initiatives, women’s recognition programs, and leadership activities, Vasu continues to promote a vision of creating job creators rather than job seekers while inspiring individuals to pursue purpose-driven success.
