Her Story
About Veaunca
I started out in the medical field in medical records, as a CNA, medical assistant. I transitioned to registration working with medical equipment at a DME company. My highest weight was 397 pounds, and after getting sick with long COVID symptoms, I started a weight loss journey incorporating healthy eating, gym, GLP-1, and faith in God. This helped me deal with emotional eating and trauma triggers. I am now a single mother motivating others on similar journeys.

Ten minutes with Veaunca
01What do you attribute your success to?
Trusting God and relearning Him as a loving father who is working in my life even when I don't see change. My faith has been key, along with stepping into my purpose to inspire others and leave a legacy for my children.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Go with what makes you happy rather than just chasing money. Work should be something you wake up wanting to do with a smile, not just for the paycheck, because stress from an unfulfilling job affects your life.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Have confidence, walk in with your head held high, and know your why. It has to be something deep down in you that makes you want to do what you do, because when things get tough, external reasons like kids may not be enough to keep you going.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is time management and setting boundaries to be a mother, a child of God, and my own person without neglecting myself. Pursuing writing, modeling, and promoting health while balancing family priorities.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Kindness, honesty, and integrity are my main three. Being kind, loving, compassionate, accountable for actions, and authentic. Removing myself from negative situations to stay true to my morals and core values.
