Her Interview
Ten minutes with Venessa
01What do you attribute your success to?
My inability to give up. My early sales days were rejection training. The ability to be told no a million times or be rejected or fail and keep going. It's a numbers game.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Stop choosing more and start fixing what's already in front of you. Most growth doesn't come from adding, it's from refining. Build systems, not stress.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't be afraid to be constrained and bold and stand out. Revenue operations is a great field. Women are not underperforming, we're overworking inside unstructured systems. Fix the system instead of working harder.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Revenue operations is an $8 trillion industry set to increase over 30% in next 5 years. Biggest challenge is businesses have sales problems not marketing problems, with invisible gaps in pipelines. Founders carry high cognitive load and lack support leading to burnout.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Transparency, clarity over noise, structure creates freedom through systems not stress, precision over volume, ownership, simplicity scales, save results not activity.
