Her Interview

Ten minutes with Vennesa

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to hard work and consistency. I also credit my willingness to believe in myself, learn from my mistakes, and continuously grow through experience. In addition, I value building and maintaining a loyal, long-tenured team, which has been instrumental in achieving sustained success.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve learned is to stay consistent and believe in myself. Although no one explicitly told me this, I’ve come to understand it through my experience as a CEO. I’ve learned to manage self-doubt and accept that not everything will go as planned, and that’s okay. Mistakes and setbacks are part of the journey, and what matters most is learning from them, growing through the experience, and continuing to move forward with resilience and self-trust.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to stay true to who you are and trust your own voice. As you grow in your career, you may encounter environments that can feel challenging or traditionally male-dominated, but it’s important to remember that you belong at the table just as much as anyone else. Own your space with confidence, even when you don’t have all the answers. What matters most is knowing your value, understanding what you bring, and standing firmly in that. Confidence and authenticity earn respect and will carry you far in your career.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The industry is currently experiencing significant change driven by advancements in IT and AI, which presents both a challenge and an opportunity. Staying current with evolving technologies and effectively integrating them into operations requires ongoing adaptation and learning. At the same time, these developments offer valuable opportunities to improve efficiency, enhance service delivery, and innovate care models. Additionally, there is a strong opportunity to increase visibility and better educate prospective clients about modern recovery services and the benefits they provide.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My relationship with God and my faith are what keep me grounded in both my work and personal life. They have been especially important in my transition into the CEO role, providing strength and guidance during challenging times. I also deeply value loyalty and carry a strong sense of responsibility toward my employees, always considering the impact of my decisions on the team and the business. In addition, a strong work ethic is essential to me—staying consistent, showing up every day, and giving my full effort. I believe that when we work together with commitment and integrity, we continue to grow and succeed together.
