Q

What do you attribute your success to?

From a young age, witnessing my mother's struggles to provide for our family instilled a drive in me to break the cycle of poverty. Hard work was woven into the fabric of our childhood, where household labor was prioritized over play. This early exposure to diligence prepared me for the challenges ahead.

I faced many hardships, including periods when utilities were shut off, forcing us to adapt with limited resources. Working two to three jobs simultaneously to make ends meet was a reality I embraced and a teenager and young adult. My career took a pivotal turn when I secured a secretarial position at a development company, eventually becoming a project coordinator. I gained valuable skills in land research, infrastructure planning, and negotiations.

Pursuing further education, I earned a degree in business administration and obtained my real estate license. Soon after entering the field, I was confronted with the subprime market crash. This experience taught me resilience and adaptability, prompting me to specialize in short sales and foreclosures, always prioritizing the financial well-being of my clients. I was motivated by the impact of the crash on my family, particularly my sister's distress, which reinforced my commitment to responsible real estate practices.

As the spouse of an active-duty Marine, frequent relocations challenged my business continuity. I encountered varied practices and commission structures each time, leading to a realization of the need for a more standardized approach. I completed my degree in International Business and sought to create my own company that caters to the unique needs of military families.

Recognizing the gaps in services provided to military relocators inspired me to specialize in this area. My aim is to ensure clients have a seamless, stress-free experience while relocating to unfamiliar places, affording them the comfort and competence needed in their real estate decisions.

Most importantly, my support system—my husband, seven children, and extended family—has been instrumental in my success as a brokerage owner and active-duty military spouse. They motivate me to provide the best possible service to our clients while balancing life's demands.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Surround yourself with people who are where you want to be.

The people closest to you quietly set your standards for effort, ambition, and what’s “normal.” If you spend time with people who are more successful, more disciplined, or further along in the path you want, you naturally start thinking and acting differently.

Seek out colleagues, mentors, and friends whose careers you admire. Ask questions, observe how they work, and add value where you can. Over time, their habits, mindset, and expectations will help pull you up to their level.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Make yourself valuable and create your own life path.

The more unique and hard-to-replace your knowledge, skills, and experience are, the more secure your position becomes. When you develop expertise that few others have—and combine it with reliability and strong performance—you become the person people rely on, which makes it much harder to be replaced and much easier to be promoted.

At the same time, no matter the obstacles, your situation, or the lack of resources you have, there is always a way forward. Don’t wait for the perfect conditions. Instead, actively create your own path: seek out opportunities, find and meet the right people, and ask for guidance from those who are where you want to be. With unique value and the right relationships, you can keep moving toward your goals.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Biggest Challenges

The real estate industry is currently facing several significant challenges. High interest rates and overall economic uncertainty have created a lack of stability in the market. Many potential buyers are hesitant to purchase a home because they are unsure about their job security and financial future.

Over the last four years, market activity has slowed considerably. During COVID, housing prices rose sharply, but when interest rates increased, prices did not correct downward. As a result, many homes remain unaffordable for new buyers, which has further reduced buyer demand and transaction volume.

For new agents, this environment has made it especially difficult to sustain the high costs associated with getting and maintaining a real estate license, given the reduced income from fewer sales. In addition, the new buyer broker agreement requirement has created another layer of complexity. Experienced agents who have never regularly used a buyer broker agreement are struggling to adjust—particularly when it comes to explaining the new contracts and value of representation to buyers who are already hesitant to commit.

Biggest Opportunities

Despite these challenges, there are meaningful opportunities in the current market. When interest rates eventually drop, prices are likely to increase further. Buyers who can afford to purchase now have a strategic advantage: they can secure a home at today’s relatively lower prices, then refinance later when rates decline to reduce their monthly payments, all while benefiting from potential appreciation and equity growth over time. This environment favors a “buy and hold” strategy and presents a strong opportunity for long-term real estate investment.

For agents, this market is an opportunity to grow, adapt, and build resilience. By fully learning the new buyer broker agreement process, staying informed about market changes, and refining client communication, agents can differentiate themselves and strengthen their careers. The mindset should shift away from “this is how we’ve always done it” toward “how can I successfully implement these new changes in my market?” Agents who embrace innovation, education, and adaptability will be best positioned to thrive as the market evolves.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Personal Values

My faith in God and my family are the foundations of my life.

God provides the path, hope, and inspiration for me to become the best version of myself. I strive to live in a way that honors His guidance and purpose for my life.

My family is my “why.” They are the reason I work hard—to provide a better future, to support their dreams, and to be an example of character, perseverance, and love. I aim to inspire them to become the best versions of themselves, just as I continually seek to grow in my own life.

Professional Values

In my work, I am guided by the same principles that shape my personal life:

  • Faithful Stewardship & Integrity
  • I conduct business with honesty, integrity, and a deep sense of responsibility, always striving to do what is right for my clients.
  • Excellence & Accountability
  • I uphold the highest standards of fiduciary duty, diligently overseeing every transaction from beginning to end to ensure successful, positive outcomes.
  • Client-Centered Service
  • I prioritize client satisfaction by leveraging comprehensive market knowledge to deliver expert guidance, insightful advice, and a strategic perspective tailored to each client’s goals.

Business Philosophy

My business philosophy is simple and unwavering:
