Vernessa Scurry

She is a seasoned behavioral health executive and operations leader with over 18 years of experience in crisis services, residential programs, and organizational expansion across Maryland. Currently serving as Chief of Staff at Affiliated Sante Group, she provides executive-level support and strategic leadership. Prior to this role, she served as Vice President of Operations at Affiliated Sante Group, where she oversaw operational strategy and service delivery. Her career includes serving as Executive Director at Ijomah & Associates Inc, where she expanded a small residential crisis services company from one location to three locations across Maryland, nearly tripling the organization's income within her tenure. She also served as Supervisor at QCI Behavioral Health for over 11 years, building a strong foundation in behavioral health services and team leadership. She holds Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University. She is recognized as a strategic, results-driven, and mission-focused leader who is deeply committed to expanding access to behavioral health services, empowering employees, and strengthening communities through high-quality care and operational excellence.
