Her Interview
Ten minutes with Veronica
01What do you attribute your success to?
My success comes from my mother who passed. She was strong and endured a lot. She always kept me on my toes and made sure I knew I could do things by myself without worrying about jealousy from others. That's why most of my books are dedicated to my mother and my daughter.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice came from the CEO at Delta who told me to always be myself, keep smiling, and that I would go far in life. He said to strive to be the best.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't ever get discouraged. When somebody tells you you can't, you show them that you can.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Respect and honesty are the most important values to me in both work and personal life. Honesty is a big pet peeve because lying leads to more lies.
