Her Story
About Veronica
I work in the content marketing space and day-to-day is always something new and different which I greatly appreciate especially with all the changes that have happened over the last 3 to 5 years with AI. I lead initiatives around content, website copy, long-form content like e-books, blogs, PR and media. My daily tasks range from leadership meetings to working with my team on blogs, AEO or SEO, building marketing funnels and nurture tracks, emails, and optimizing the site and existing content.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Veronica
01What do you attribute your success to?
Ambition. I'm always striving to learn more, to be better. I go into conversations with people wanting to learn from them. I feel like anytime you have a conversation with somebody you should know they have something to teach you. I always think that even in personal life and everything else and so I've kind of held on to that as I continue progressing in my career.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell them to have an open mind and to not be afraid to try new things, to A-B test everything and anything that they want to, to try and figure out what type of content they want to do whether that's video, writing, podcasts or anything in between. Find something that they are really passionate about and learn it really really well, become the master of it and then find ways that you can contribute to another company with it or to start your own company.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Definitely AI. That one is probably the biggest one. It's kind of taken over the content space and we have lots of content teams that are being challenged with it or just dismantled because of it. On the flip side the opportunities are the creativity that's been able to be showcased. We're able to produce more content and get it out in the world quicker than ever. It's really shined a light on good writing and you can let creative writers put their voice and tone to light.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Definitely being a learner. Being a learner, being agile is another one and being able to pivot quickly. You need to be able to adapt with what's happening in the world. You need to be positive is probably another big one too. Try not to let the bad days win.
