Based in Seattle with deep operational roots in South America, she oversees strategic growth and commercial direction across a specialized logistics group that includes Horizon Air Freight, Delver Agents, and Swift Marine. Her work focuses on integrating global operations across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, with particular expertise in expedition cruise logistics and Antarctic support through Ushuaia, Argentina—the gateway to Antarctica.

She is also the Founder and Managing Director of Delver Agents, which she established in 2007 and has since grown into a leading ship agency and logistics provider supporting expedition cruise operators, scientific missions, and maritime clients operating in some of the world’s most demanding environments. She is actively engaged in industry collaboration through organizations such as the International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators (IAATO) and CLIA, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, operational excellence, and long-term value creation in the cruise and maritime logistics sectors.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Veronica

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a combination of formal education, continuous learning, and the people I’ve learned from throughout my career. My law degree from the Catholic University of Argentina and my bachelor’s degree in California provided a strong foundation in commercial law, contracts, and business formation, while my mother, an English and Spanish teacher, gave me early fluency in English that expanded my opportunities. Beyond academics, I’ve continued to grow by staying curious, asking questions, and learning from colleagues and team members around the world, including highly experienced professionals. Building companies has been an ongoing learning process, and remaining open and humble has been key to my development.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is that it’s possible to build a successful career while also making a meaningful difference in the lives of others and maintaining a fulfilling personal life. I was encouraged to believe that I can be a wife, a mother, and a business owner, and that I have the freedom to open and grow a business anywhere in the world I choose.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to trust your ability to grow a global career from the ground up. I started in 2007 in Argentina with a small shipping agency and eventually became Group Managing Director of a global logistics organization with over 400 employees across multiple countries. Progress comes from consistency, resilience, and continuous learning—so stay curious, ask questions, and don’t be afraid to take opportunities before you feel fully ready.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest opportunities in my field is the ability to operate globally while building businesses that stay agile, resilient, and people-centered in a constantly evolving logistics landscape. At the same time, one of the ongoing challenges is maintaining that level of performance and leadership while also prioritizing balance—being present for my family, making time for my husband and children, and staying grounded in personal well-being. I also integrate daily practices like Reiki, which help me stay centered and focused while navigating the demands of a fast-paced international industry.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity, responsibility, and service. I place a strong emphasis on contributing to sustainable and ethical practices within the industry, which is reflected in my active involvement in organizations such as IAATO and AECO, where collaboration and environmental stewardship are central. I am also deeply committed to giving back through charitable initiatives, including an Antarctica recycling program, which reinforces my belief that business success should go hand in hand with protecting the environment and supporting communities.
