Veronica Moreno

I am an education and social services professional committed to helping underserved communities achieve educational and career success. Currently, I serve as Director of the Fresno State TRIO Educational Opportunity Center at California State University, Fresno, where I lead program operations, compliance, staff development, and community partnerships to support first-generation, low-income, and displaced adults pursuing higher education.

Before joining Fresno State, I spent more than 20 years with Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission managing grant-funded programs and community initiatives focused on youth development, education access, and workforce readiness. Earlier in my career, I managed group homes for youth with behavioral challenges at Fresno Unity Group Homes Inc., collaborating with probation and licensing agencies to provide stable and supportive environments.

My work is driven by a passion for educational equity, community empowerment, and helping individuals overcome barriers to achieve their goals. I enjoy collaborating with educators, nonprofits, government agencies, and community leaders to create meaningful opportunities for students and families.
