About Veronica
Veronica Sanders serves as Digital Marketing Coordinator at Lone Star College, where she manages social media platforms, develops strategic content, and leads a core media team including graphic designers, photographers, videographers, and student creators. With more than eight years in the field, she began her professional journey in multimedia production for churches before transitioning to higher education roles at Lone Star College University Park and later full-time positions within the system. Sanders conceived and launched the Falcon Force content creator program, now in its fifth cohort, which engages students in campus storytelling and supports institutional KPIs. She earned a degree in mass communication from Grambling State University with a marketing minor and actively participates in the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated since November 2018, and the African American Marketing Association.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Keeping your eye on the prize and not getting lost in what other people may project onto you or how you're being perceived, but staying authentic to who you are and continuing to make progress, do your research, and maintain momentum.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It took years to understand my value; nail down what you're passionate about and recognize what sets you apart; get a team and collaborate; get a mentor; use LinkedIn to network and build your profile; don't be afraid to shoot your shot.
