Veronica Vejar

Veronica Vejar is a seasoned Lead Product Designer and UX Researcher with over a decade of experience crafting intuitive, inclusive, and human-centered digital experiences across fintech, e-commerce, and emerging AI technologies. Her work is rooted in simplifying complex systems through thoughtful design, always with the end user in mind. At Fortú, a venture-backed bilingual banking app for Latino immigrants in the U.S., she led design strategy that propelled the product to strong product-market fit, exceeding industry satisfaction benchmarks.
Currently leading UX efforts at Rentqui, Veronica continues to apply her expertise in research, accessibility, and cross-functional collaboration to design digital lending solutions that bridge gaps for underbanked users. Throughout her career, she has worked across cultures and continents—Brazil, Colombia, Europe, and the U.S.—bringing a global, empathetic perspective to every project. Her ability to mentor teams, scale design systems, and integrate research into product development has made her a trusted leader in both startup and enterprise environments.
Veronica holds a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and has earned multiple honors, including the Silver Addy Award and Best Mobile App Design recognition. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new industries through her self-led “UX adventures,” attending events, and engaging with communities to stay inspired and informed. Passionate about design's power to create impact, Veronica is driven by one goal: to build experiences people can’t imagine living without.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute much of my success to staying curious and constantly learning. Books like Don't Make Me Think deeply influenced my perspective on intuitive design and helped shape the way I approach user experience—always with clarity and simplicity at the forefront.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
In both my work and personal life, I value curiosity, balance, and being present. As a parent to a one-year-old and a ten-year-old, I’ve learned the importance of staying flexible and grounded—especially while cheering on my daughter at her travel soccer games. These moments remind me why I strive to create thoughtful, human-centered experiences in my work.
